Chris Amelung

Assistant Vice Chancellor for Digital Strategy

According to my job description, I manage and oversee the university’s top-level web presence (a.k.a., WUSTL.edu) and guide strategy for the externally focused websites at WashU. For you, I’m the guy you call when you need help with a website.

Before I joined the WashU community, I was a senior web developer at Yale University where I led the development of various university-level projects including the award-winning Open Yale Courses. Prior to that, I worked on a R&D team at Mizzou where we built online learning environments. I earned my PhD in Information Science and Learning Technologies from the University of Missouri – Columbia.

Have an idea for a new university website, but don’t know how to get started? Want to transform your current site into a more engaging destination for your users? Give me a call, and we’ll figure out the most appropriate solution together.
