Assistant Vice Chancellor, Integrated Marketing and Brand Strategy

I work with all of the Public Affairs teams to help align our work against both departmental and institutional priorities. Hence the word “integrated” in my title. I’m deeply involved in the work of our talented digital and creative services teams, as well as the dedicated crew that publishes Washington magazine. I’m also data junkie, which is why one of my top priorities has been to help us all understand what makes WashU distinct in the market and to translate this work into credible and authentic positioning and messaging for the institution. I love thorny problems to solve, particularly organizational challenges at the intersection of communication strategy, business process improvement and information technology.

I joined the team from Washington University’s Brown School and prior to that I was a senior vice president at FleishmanHillard, where I counseled clients of all shapes and sizes representing every sector of the healthcare industry.

I earned my MBA from the University of Chicago, and an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. And while you won’t know it from my accent, home is Birmingham, Alabama.

When I am not working, I enjoy hanging out with my hubby Doug, our two sons, our dog Bernie and a very sweet kitty named Syrup.
